Our weather station seamlessly connects to GE inverters via the EzLogger, enabling real-time data collection for accurate PV plant performance monitoring. This integration ensures optimal energy production and enhanced system efficiency.
The General Electric Weather Station is designed to maximize solar performance monitoring through its high-precision sensors, delivering real-time environmental data for enhanced efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Key Sensors & Their Functions:
1. Irradiance Sensor (PV Pyranometer)
This weatherproof, UV-resistant sensor features a Modbus RTU output and is built with a monocrystalline solar cell paired with a high-precision shunt. Equipped with five input ports for additional sensor connections and an RS485 output to the EZlogger, it also includes an internal cell temperature sensor for accurate irradiance measurement.
2. Ambient Temperature Sensor
Critical for assessing temperature-related efficiency losses, this sensor is housed in a solar radiation shield with four aspirated plates, ensuring airflow while blocking radiant heat interference. This design guarantees reliable ambient temperature readings.
3. Module Temperature Sensor
A must-have for performance analysis, this sensor measures the back-of-module temperature, a key factor in calculating the PV plant’s Performance Ratio (PR).
4. Wind Speed Sensor (Anemometer)
Used to monitor wind conditions, this sensor feeds data directly to the EZlogger, helping assess cooling effects and potential mechanical stress on panels.
