Our comprehensive package includes all necessary sensors for accurate PV plant monitoring through the SolarEdge Monitoring Portal.

SEVEN's advanced sensor solutions deliver a fully automated weather monitoring system that collects and reports critical environmental data at regular intervals without requiring manual intervention. The system features seamless integration with the SolarEdge Gateway, which is equipped with three dedicated connection ports to support multiple analog sensors simultaneously.

The SolarEdge Weather Station integrates high-precision sensors to optimise solar performance monitoring and system efficiency. These sensors provide critical environmental data, enabling real-time analysis and informed decision-making for solar power plants.

1. Irradiance Sensor (PV Pyranometer)

The PV Pyranometer is a core component of the SolarEdge system, featuring monocrystalline silicon construction and a high-precision shunt for accurate irradiance measurement. Equipped with an internal cell temperature sensor, it delivers reliable solar radiation data. For optimal performance, this sensor must be installed in an unobstructed location.

2. Ambient Temperature Sensor

Housed within a solar radiation shield with four ventilated plates, this sensor ensures precise ambient temperature readings by minimising heat interference. The shield’s design allows free airflow while protecting against external radiation sources.

3. Module Temperature Sensor

Mounted on the back of PV modules, this sensor tracks panel temperature—a key factor in calculating the Performance Ratio (PR) of the solar plant.

4. Wind Speed Sensor

This sensor measures real-time wind speed, transmitting data to the SolarEdge Gateway to assess environmental impacts on system performance.

5. Wind Direction Sensor

Compatible with the SolarEdge Gateway, this sensor monitors wind direction, providing additional insights for site-specific weather analysis.

Together, these sensors deliver comprehensive environmental monitoring, enhancing solar plant efficiency, maintenance planning, and energy yield optimisation.
